Grace Family Church is committed to providing a place for people of all backgrounds to come and explore Christianity at their own pace. What kind of church is this?
Grace Family Church is a non-denominational, Bible-based church. Pastor Craig Altman and his wife Debbie founded our church in 1994. They were youth ministers for 12 years before becoming Senior Pastors at Grace. Our name, "Grace Family," defines who we are. We believe that Christianity goes beyond Sunday mornings and our desire is to build authentic relationships in the community and with each other.
What should I wear?
Casual dress is appropriate; we encourage you to come as you are. Feel free to leave the tie at home!
What will the service be like?
We begin each service with contemporary music provided by our own musicians and praise and worship team. The messages are practical and applicable; all based on the timeless truths of the Bible applied to everyday lives. The mid-week service is designed for those who wish to develop their relationship with Christ through Bible studies and classes.
Will I have to say anything, sing anything, give anything, or be singled out in any way?
At Grace Family Church, it is completely up to you how much you would like to participate! Some people choose to sing along to the music since the words are projected onto screens in the front of the sanctuary, while others simply listen. You won't be pressured for money. As a matter of fact, we ask that our first time guests not contribute to our offering. In the weekly bulletin you will find a Welcome Card that you may or may not fill out. However, if you do place a child in our children's ministry, you must complete some basic information, for security reasons.
Is this a Christian church, or something else?
Though non-traditional in style, Grace Family Church is a Christian Church. We believe the Bible is God's Word and its teaching is a catalyst for life change.
Where do we take our children during the service?
Childcare is provided at all three of the adult services:
- The classrooms for the infants thru 1 year olds are located in the lobby of the main Sanctuary
- 2 year olds - Kindergarten meet in The Clubhouse located in the Educational Building
- 1st-5th grades meet in The Zone located in the Youth Center
- 6th-8th grade students attend Murge which is held during the Sunday Services in Room 203, upstairs in the Sanctuary building
- 9th grade and up attend the adult services
- On Friday nights, Oneighty meets for 6th-8th grade students at 7:00 PM in the GFC Gym
- On Wednesday nights, iO meets for high school students at 7:00 PM in the GFC Gym
Do you have a service in Spanish?
Yes, we meet during the Sunday 11:45 AM service on the second floor of the Youth Center.
Do you have a service for deaf people?
No, we currently are not set-up for a deaf service.
What missions do you support?
We support many missions in the local area and abroad such as A Woman's Place, CA2Y, Tampa Dream Center and many more. Complete Listing.
How can we join the choir?
