First Impressions
From parking cars to welcoming guests, our first impressions volunteers set the standard for friendly service.
- Traffic Team - There teams, made up of both men and women, serve in sunshine and rain to assist guests in finding an open parking space and help orchestrate large numbers of cars coming in and out of the campus parking lot.
- Shuttle Team - These drivers are trained in safety and guest services. Drivers provide a comfortable transport from the far ends of the campus, communicating high value and welcome to our guest. Van Dyke Campus only.
- Usher Team - This team, male or female, assists our guest in finding a seat and collect offerings and help with our communion services. They also help prepare their section for the next service.
- Greeter Team - Both men and women, welcome our guests with greetings from the curb through the front doors of our sanctuary. They also hand our bulletins and manage the flow of our guests as the service beings.
- Bulletin Assembly - These behind the scenes team comes in on Friday mornings to assemble thousands of bulletins for our weekend service. They are treated to a yummy breakfast! Van Dyke Campus only.
- Security Team - These individuals are trained professionals who work in our community with various police departments, but who serve on the weekends, faithfully offering a presence of safety and emergency responses. Alert; familiar with church facilities; not easily intimidated. Van Dyke Campus only.
- Medical Team - This team ensures that a medical professional is available during services and special events. Gifts - mercy; serving; CAN or nurse or EMT or Physician...someone certified to give proper first-aid treatment. Van Dyke Campus only.
- Point Person - These persons serve individually each week as "communication liaison" to link ALL ongoing activities at Grace Family Church. Van Dyke Campus only.
- Guests Services - Greeting new guests at the Guest Services area; Assisting people with questions, tours, etc.
- The Source - helping people purchase items in the GFC Bookstore - The Source. Van Dyke Campus only.
